Your cooperation with the company Mattoni introduced you
to the world of advertising. Do you see this as a logical
step, was it a necessary step or has this type of work attracted
you?
This is not my first time in advertising.
All of my three large exhibits had billboards promoting
them, thanks to the sponsors. It's difficult to "do" culture
today without an appropriate PR. But the Mattoni project
is about something else altogether. This company has decided
to carry out a unique project - to promote contemporary
art on large billboards. I start the initiative and other
authors will follow. I accepted this task with great joy.
To try the effect of an image expanded to a gigantic size
is very tempting.

What do you think about the white eagle promoting this
sparkling water?
Since the sixties, I have seen silhouette
advertisements in the world; Spain was adorned by a huge
bull promoting cognac. That I would see the most beautiful
silhouette ad after forty years in the Czech lands would
not occur to me even in my dreams. I am certain that even
the legendary painter Kamil Lhoták who painted such ads
since the forties would be ecstatic about Mattoni's eagle.

... The soup from Mattoni mineral water* charmed actress
Stella Zázvorková at this year's finale of Mattoni Grand
Drink contest in Karlovy Vary. "It's not really like soup
but a cool refreshing beverage, and what's better, there
is good beef and veggies in it. It's perfect. I'll definitely
include the soup in my menu. My friends will appreciate
it on hot summer days." said Stella Zázvorková during the
fourth Mattoni Grand Drink contest in Karlovy Vary.
* "Vitactive" cold beef and vegetable
broth, refreshing Mattoni. Chef of Grandhotel Pupp Jiří
Hrdý revealed what you need for 10 portions:
200g cooked leg of veal, 200g steamed ham,
200g cucumber, 100g onions, 100g green leeks, 5 hard-boiled
eggs, fresh dill weed, salt, grounded white pepper, full
fat mustard, soured cream and Mattoni mineral water.
Divide the hard-boiled eggs into yolks
and whites. Blend the yolks with full fat mustard. Add soured
cream and Mattoni. Mattoni gives the broth a specific taste.
Chop the remaining ingredients in thin slices and add them
to the prepared broth. Add salt and white pepper. Serve
the soup in cooled cups with dark bread and garnished with
fresh dill.

... Then a phase comes when someone you don't known acts
familiarly towards you and says: "Hey, Míra, come have a
drink with us." "Thanks for the invitation, but I don't
drink hard liquor", I try to be polite. "What's wrong, have
something." "OK, I'll have Mattoni", I suggest and add:
"Because MATTONI is the best mineral water." …

… I confirm the theory that substances helping raise euphoria
are released through movement. My daily routine includes
taking various vitamins, but always what is currently in.
Right now, it's lecithin but it used to be shark cartilage.
As soon as there is an ad for something to keep us immortal,
I try it. I also drink Mattoni, and in general I live healthily.
Sometimes, though, it gets out of hand, so when I don't
act in the evening, I have some wine or something else…
